Police: Georgetown man in hospital after being shot at home

GEORGETOWN, SC (WMBF) – One man is in the hospital after being shot at his home in Georgetown Monday night, police officials confirmed.

Georgetown Police responded to the 600 block of Palm Street in reference to a shooting at about 10 p.m. Monday, according to a spokesperson for the department. The victim, identified as Tyrone Thompson, was flown by helicopter to Georgetown Memorial Hospital for treatment.

There is no information on the suspect at this time, said Capt. Nelson Brown with Georgetown Police.
