MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Get those quarters ready – parking
meter season has begun in Myrtle Beach.
Nearly 2,000 parking meters and pay stations have been
installed in commercial areas east of Kings Highway, and they will be in effect
through September 30, according to a memo from the city. Most meters will be
enforced seven days a week, from 9 a.m. to 12 a.m.
The Parkmobile system will be available again for convenient
pay-by-phone parking, the city states, and vehicles with valid handicap hang
tags or plates, as well as those with valid Disabled American Veteran plates,
may park free at publicly-operated meters and at the Myrtle Beach Convention
Center.
