The debate over gun control continues: Should we outlaw assault weapons? Should we limit the size of magazines? Should we put armed guards in schools? What about universal background checks?

Consider This:

In the wrong hands, a gun with 5 shots can be just as dangerous as a gun with 10 shots. That's why it makes sense to move forward with mandatory background checks on all gun purchases. Will background checks solve all of the problems? No, but it should help. And it doesn't infringe on our 2^nd Amendment rights.

Getting a background check is not going to prevent someone who can legally own a gun from purchasing that weapon. However, if it keeps one person who shouldn't own a gun from getting that gun then it is the right thing to do.
