CONWAY, SC (WMBF) – The location of the candlelight vigil for 19-year-old Coastal Carolina University sophomore Anthony Liddell being held tonight has changed.
The vigil will be held at 6 p.m. tonight at Edwards Courtyard, located in the center of the Robin W. and Thomas W. Edwards College of Humanities and Fire Arts building, according to university spokesperson Martha Hunn. The vigil was previously scheduled to be held at Spadoni Park.
Liddell was fatally shot at an off-campus housing complex Tuesday night.
CCU president David DeCenzo and Debbie Conner, vice president for student affairs, will make remarks at the vigil, and there will be an open microphone for students to share their memories. Preston McKever-Floyd, professor in the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies, will give a closing prayer, Hunn stated in a news release.
