LUMBERTON, NC (WMBF) - A young North Carolina man has died after a crash near the City of Lumberton Friday morning.

Troopers with the North Carolina Highway Patrol report that crash occurred just after 9 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 22 on State Road 1002, or Old Allenton Road, about three and a half miles southeast of Lumberton.

According to the accident report, 31-year-old Timothy Earl Jacobs of Lumberton was driving his 1998 Chevy pickup truck west on Old Allenton Road when he attempted to turn right at a fork in the road and continue traveling northbound.
