Injury accident closes U.S. 501 at Forestbrook Rd.

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – A traffic accident with injuries shut down all lanes of southbound U.S. 501 near Forestbrook Road Monday morning, according to the South Carolina Department of Transportation.

The accident occurred at about 8:47 a.m. Monday morning, and emergency responders are on the scene, officials from SCDOT Traffic Management confirm.

The accident has since been taken off the SC Highway Patrol's list of active incidents, and the traffic camera at that location shows traffic is moving normally, but there is no word yet on the condition of those injured in the crash.
