Golf Academy of America plans spring event in Myrtle Beach

Posted: Updated:

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – The Myrtle Beach campus of The Golf Academy of America (GAA) will host its inaugural Spring Tune-Up event from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 2.

Attendees will have the opportunity to receive complimentary instruction from PGA professional instructors, participate in skills contests and tour the state-of-the-art campus facilities.

Refreshments will be served while guests watch free video lessons and get the chance to interact with campus director Jim Hart and other PGA professionals on staff.

The latest golf equipment will also be on-hand to assess, and attendees can compete to win prizes in long-drive and distance-control contests, all held at GAA's state-of-the-art campus.

Hart says they are looking forward to sharing the facilities with the community during the Spring Tune-Up.

"Though we are fortunate enough to be able to play year-round golf here," Hart explained, "a number of golfers are excited to knock any winter rust out as the weather starts to warm up in March."

Space is limited for the special event, and guests seeking one-on-one instruction during the event will need to RSVP by calling the campus at (843) 903-8366.

The Golf Academy is located at 3268 Waccamaw Blvd. in Myrtle Beach.
