MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – Three women were arrested in Myrtle Beach and charged with prostitution Tuesday night after placing online ads, according to Myrtle Beach Police.

Allison-Anne Hankins, 32, was arrested in the 1200 block of Moser Drive at about 7:45 p.m. Tuesday, according to police reports. The arresting officer responded to an online ad placed by Hankins via text message, the report states, and she agreed to meet with him to "have sex and whatever else" he wanted for $200.

She was arrested and with charged with her first offense for prostitution.

At about 11:40 p.m. Tuesday, officers arrested 20-year-old Brittney Alexis Gregson, who has also been charged with her first offense for prostitution, according to police reports.

Officers say Hankins, Gregson, and a third woman were all captured after placing "Backpage" ads online.

The reports also shows two of the women live in hotels on South Ocean Boulevard. A resident who lives near says prostitution is common in the area all the time.

"We see women all the time and they come bay and ask for cigarettes and ask for business," says Michael Ortega.

Police tell us they are able to catch prostitution in the winter more often because there are less people in the Grand Strand. They also use female officers to run stings on Johns.
