CAROLINA FOREST, SC (WMBF) - The Horry County bomb squad was called to a church to examine an old ordnance found off of Carolina Forest Boulevard.
Though few details about the device are known at this time, Horry County Police spokesman Sgt. Robert Kegler says a call around 3:30 p.m. indicates an old bomb-like ordnance was discovered off Carolina Forest Boulevard, near The Farm subdivision.
A WMBF News crew on the scene noted the device was being examined by the bomb squad in the parking lot of Celebrations Presbyterian Church, just across the street from the Seventh Day Adventist Pentecostal Church.
It is unknown who discovered the device.
