BENNETTSVILLE, SC (WMBF) - The Marlboro County Sheriff's Office confirms a tip from a citizen led to the arrest of a woman wanted for burglary.
Days ago, the sheriff's office released a photo of that woman, 35-year-old Lisa English Norton, who was wanted for first degree burglary, damage to property and larceny for breaking into a home on Burnt Factory Road in Bennettsville over the weekend.
She fled with a firearm and other stolen items, which were later recovered, when deputies responded to the scene.
Sheriff's Officer spokesman Lt. Jamie Seales says she is known to use residences and addresses on Highway 79 near Highway 38 North and has ties to several people on Highway 385 in the Gibson area of Marlboro County. She also has family and ties in Richmond County NC.
After releasing her photo, police received a tip concerning her location and she was arrested.
