MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - After snow fell throughout the Grand Strand and Pee Dee, residents woke up to cold start with some leftover snow on the ground Sunday morning.  Snow accumulations ranged from 1.5 to 2" of snow across the Pee Dee to a dusting to an inch of snow along the Grand Strand.

Temperatures dropped below freezing last night, causing some icy patches in parking lots, on bridges and overpasses.

Earlier Saturday there were numerous reports of snow from Bennettsville to Hartsville, Florence, Marion and even into inland areas of Horry County, according to the WMBF Storm Team.  Some snowflakes were even mixing in at the beaches.

Check out the WMBF Storm Team Facebook Page for raw video from our viewers of the snowfall.

The Storm Team is continuing to track the winter weather in the Pee Dee as it moves closer to the Grand Strand and will have updates and on air and online.

The South Carolina Department of Public Safety is asking drivers to use caution as there could be slick spots on the roads, especially bridges and overpasses.
