MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - After a cold and frosty start Friday morning, the Grand Strand will stay a little chilly with temperatures in the upper 50s.
The inland locations will be sunny and pleasant Friday afternoon with highs in the mid to low 60s. Clear skies and calm winds are in the forecast Friday night, allowing temperatures to drop again to the upper 30s by Saturday morning.
Then the Storm Team will be tracking two cold fronts for the weekend. The first moves through Friday night making us chilly for Saturday.
A second, and strong cold front plows through late Saturday and turns our forecast cold and blustery with highs only in the 40s by Sunday. This front will also give us a chance of rain starting first in the Pee Dee around noon Saturday and then making it to the Grand Strand Saturday late afternoon.
There's a chance this rain could briefly change over to snow late Saturday night. As of now, it looks like there will be little to no accumulation. Stay tuned to the Storm Team on the air, online on wmbfnews.com, on Facebook and on the Storm Team Weather App as this forecast continues to evolve.
