Regional Health Screening set for March 1 in Andrews

GEORGETOWN, SC (WMBF) – The Georgetown Hospital System is hosting a Regional Health Screening in Andrews on March 1, offering many free and low-cost health screenings.

Georgetown Hospital System's Regional Health Screening is set for 7:30 – 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 1, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Andrews.

The screening is one of several that GHS offers throughout the year for the community and includes a variety of health screenings, many of which are free, as well as information about GHS programs and physicians and tips for a healthy lifestyle.

Screenings that are offered for a fee include cardiac risk assessment, $25; chemistry panel, $20; thyroid screening, $15; diabetes, $15; PSA for men, $15. Blood panel tests require a 10- to 12-hour fast.

Registration packets for the event are available at the information desks at Georgetown Memorial Hospital and Waccamaw Community Hospital.

Individuals who plan to have blood work are encouraged to pick up a packet in advance, complete it and bring it to the screening.
