MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - A man wanted in connection to a stabbing in March 2011 is back in Horry County to face charges.

That stabbing was reported to police at an apartment building on South Ocean Boulevard on March 6, 2011. The first police officers on the scene found blood outside the door, and the victim who opened the door was "visibly bleeding and covered in blood," the Myrtle Beach Police incident report states.

The victim could not give a lot of information about the suspect at the time, but mentioned he met his assailant in another room in that building, which also had blood on the outside of the door.

A witness inside that room was upset, saying she saw the whole thing happen. The witness identified the suspect, a friend for over 10 years. When the suspect entered her room that day to find the victim inside he "went crazy," she claims, grabbing a knife and attacking the victim.

Now nearly two years later, the suspect, 32-year-old Brandon Lewis Uhler, was transported back to the Myrtle Beach area. He has been detained in the J. Reuben Long Detention Center and charged with attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

During a bond hearing on Tuesday, Uhler's bond was set at $20,000. Horry County Public Records indicate Uhler will be back in court on June 7.
