Middle school students to deliver singing Valentines at residents home

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF)—The Blue Notes, a choral group at Southside Middle school in Florence, will be delivering singing Valentine grams to residents of a local retirement community.

The musical deliveries will happen at the Bethea Baptist Retirement Community and Health Care Center, located in Darlington, on Wednesday, Feb. 13 between 10:30 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.

This service-learning project allows homerooms and/or individuals to sponsor and make a card for a resident of the Bethea home. The sponsorship is $5, and the money covers delivery, card, and flower costs.

All proceeds will cover expenses for choral festival competitions happening later in the year while allowing the Blue Notes to interact with senior citizens and serve the community.
