PAWLEYS ISLAND, SC (WMBF) - Bond has not been set for the two men taken into custody in connection to a man's death at Lumpy's Bar & Grill in Pawleys Island.

At about 3:00 a.m. Saturday, deputies arrived at the bar to find a victim in the parking lot, unresponsive. CPR was administered and the victim, identified as 37-year-old Thomas Edward Unrue of Georgetown, was transported to Georgetown Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

After interviewing witnesses, deputies realized Unrue was attacked in an altercation with two men, 41-year-old Ronnie Gene Ackley, Jr. and 37-year-old Chris Brian Campbell. Unrue was reportedly attacked physically until he was unconscious.

Ackley was arrested on the scene and taken into custody at the Georgetown County Detention Center. GCSO authorities confirmed that Ackley was an employee at Lumpy's Bar & Grill.

Christopher Brian Campbell was taken into custody without incident after Lexington City Police officers surrounded his Lexington. Campbell was transported back to Georgetown County around midnight Saturday.

Both Ackley and Campbell appeared before a judge Sunday morning but no bond was set. Officials with the Georgetown County Detention Center advised that they have one general session a month, so the two men will likely be held without bond until March before meeting a circuit court judge for a second bond hearing on their murder charges.
