MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – The announcement of a new airline at Myrtle Beach International Airport has been delayed, according to airport officials, minutes before it was scheduled to begin.
In a press release sent Thursday, representatives from MYR stated that at noon on Friday, they were going to announce which new air carrier will be serving the Myrtle Beach marketplace.
At about 11:45 a.m. Friday, the news conference was abruptly canceled. According to airport officials, the airline has delayed the announcement until Monday in order to coincide with another official announcement. A time has not yet been set for Monday.
