CONWAY, SC – A man wanted for several charges, including
attempted murder, in connection with a December 2012 shooting was arrested in
Sumter County Tuesday and was extradited back to Horry County Wednesday.
Conway resident Arsenio Legette, 23, been charged with attempted
murder, possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime, and
possession of a firearm by prohibited persons, according to a news release from
the Conway Police Department.
On December 22, 2012, police responded to a report of shots
fired at the 1600 block of Church Street to find a man with a gunshot wound to
his upper chest, the release states. He was transported to a nearby hospital.
Legette was arrested on unrelated traffic offenses in Sumter
County on Tuesday, and was extradited to Horry County. He will appear before a
judge Thursday for a bond hearing.
