LONGS, SC (WMBF) – Three people were taken into custody by law enforcement Tuesday in the Longs area after law enforcement officials located one of "Horry County's Most Wanted," a man wanted for an attempted murder charge.

Richard Hemingway, 24, was taken into custody Tuesday, along with 38-year-old Perry Lamont Jones and 27-year-old Ralph Cleodus Willard, officials confirmed in a news release.

Hemingway was wanted by Horry County Police Department for failure to appear on an attempted murder charge stemming from a 2011 incident.

Police officers, along with agents from the US Marshal Service and deputies with the Horry County Sheriff's Office, were searching for Hemingway in the Reno Circle area, the release states. After a foot chase, he and another suspect were taken custody. A third suspect was taken into custody at the shed.

Firearms were found on two of the suspects when they were arrested, the release states, and illegal drugs were seen in plain view inside the shed. A search warrant was executed, and officials seized about 9.7 grams of crack cocaine, 14.7 grams of heroin, 1.7 grams of marijuana, and $1144 in cash.

According to the release, Hemingway has been charged with: Trafficking Heroin, Possession With Intent to Distribute Cocaine, Simple Possession of Marijuana, Resisting Arrest, and Failure to Appear.

All three are now in custody at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center.
