BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WMBF) – Brunswick County Sheriff's officials are warning residents about a rash of vehicle break-ins, specifically in the area of Calabash Drive, Springhill Plantation and Oceanside Place.
According to the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office, there were nine vehicle break-ins in one day Monday, at the following locations:
-Hampton St, Calabash
-Wampee St, Calabash (twice)
-Tartan's Glen St, Calabash
-Clare Ct, Calabash
-Iredel Ct, Calabash
-Kershaw St, Calabash
-Jarvis Ln, Calabash (twice)
Sheriff's officials advise that residents take the following precautions:
-Don't leave your vehicle unlocked.
-Don't leave valuables inside.
-Be vigilant and watchful for suspicious people in your neighborhood.
-When you see or hear something suspicious, call 911 and ask for a Deputy to meet with you.
Anyone with information on who may be involved in the break-ins is asked to call the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office at 910-253-2777 and ask for the detective division.
