Valentine’s Day-themed fundraiser to benefit animals

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF)—SC-CARES is holding a fundraiser event to benefit local animals in need on Saturday, February 16 from 5-9 p.m.

Just in time for Valentine's Day, Chocolate and Champagne for the Creatures is a special affair geared towards lovers of animals and chocolate alike. The evening will feature heavy hors d'oeuvres, champagne, chocolates by Sweeties in Georgetown, live jazz music, and a silent auction. Non-alcoholic beverages, beer, and wine will also be available.

Prices are $50 per couple or $30 for each individual. Tickets can be purchased at Sweeties, 707 Front St. in Georgetown, from volunteers, or at www.sc-cares.org. Seating is limited.

Chocolate and Champagne will be hosted by The Cooper House at 6011 Dick Pond Rd. in Socastee.
