LAKE CITY, SC (WMBF)— Artists interested in participating in
the ArtsFields competition in Lake City this April must have their submissions in by this week.
The 10-day contest has already received several hundred applications,
but there are still a few days left to enter. Those selected will be invited to
display their artwork at a historical site, located in downtown Lake City, for
the duration of the competition, April 19 to 28.
A representative for ArtsFields notes that some applicants have only partially signed up. To ensure a
spot in the contest, all artists should carefully complete all of the
requirements before submitting their entry.
Offering the largest cash prize of any art contest in the
region, ArtFields is a unique, one-of-a-kind event. This inaugural art
competition and celebration will feature Southern cuisine, live music, and
dancing while awarding over $100,000 in cash prizes to winning artists. Winners
will be determined by a panel of judges as well as by popular vote. All voters
must be present in order to cast their ballot.
