MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Super Bowl Sunday is a big day for sports enthusiasts and sports vendors, but the hours following kickoff are also busy shift for law enforcement.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol says they expected more people out on the roads overnight, and more people to be impaired from the drinks they enjoyed during the game's festivities.
They were closely watching the roadways and doing sobriety checkpoints. Last year, Horry County had seven arrests from driving under the influence. The Florence area had three.
