MYRTLE BEACH, SC – Police arrested a man they say was caught hiding steaks in his pants at a Myrtle Beach supermarket Thursday evening.
Myrtle Beach Police were called to a local Food Lion, where management told officers that a man later identified as 44-year-old Jeffrey Hollon was seen hiding steaks down the front of his pants, according to a police report. When management questioned him about the steaks, the report states Hollon gave them back and left the store.
Officers arrived at Hollon's home at about 5:30 p.m. Thursday, and when they questioned him about the alleged incident, he lied about his name several times, the police report states. When officers found his identification, he admitted to giving police a false name.
Hollon was arrested and charged with shoplifting and giving a false name.
