ROBESON COUNTY, NC (WMBF) – A Hemingway, South Carolina resident is wanted by the Robeson County Sheriff's Office for his alleged involvement in a fire that destroyed 28 units at a Lumberton storage facility, causing over $65,000 worth of damage.

Jonathan Brooks Pressley has been arrested and charged for the incident that took place Saturday, and warrants have been issued for 26-year-old Jeremiah Jemaine Weaver, according to a report from the Robeson County Sheriff's Office.

On Saturday, deputies from the Robeson County Sheriff's Office responded to Nobles Storage, to find 28 units in the 32-unit block burned, and nine units broken into. Officials also found two large holes were cut into the fence at the back of the property, and damage to the camera system, the report states.

Deputies were assisted by the Lumberton Police, Lumberton Fire, and the Raft Swamp Fire departments, the report states.

Lumberton Police traced the tracks of a handtruck to the back of an apartment complex, and found a trail of stolen items leading to the apartments. Through the investigation, officers recovered stolen items from the trunk of a car inside the apartment complex, the release states.

Pressley was arrested and charged with burning of structure, first-degree trespassing, injury to real property, and injury to personal property, officials state. Additional charges are pending for when more owners of the storage units are confirmed.

Weaver is described in police documents as a 6' tall, 205 pound African-American man with brown eyes and black hair. Anyone with information on Weaver is asked to contact the Robeson County Sheriff's Office at 910-671-3100 and ask for Lt. Brian Duckworth.
