LORIS, SC (WMBF) - After over a month of investigation, a Loris man was placed under arrest for allegedly assaulting a teen girl.

That purported sexual assault was reported in December 2012, when a 13-year-old girl revealed she had been assaulted "on two separate occasions last summer," the incident report from Horry County Police states.

The suspect, 25-year-old Matthew David Miller of Loris, was indicated in the report as a friend of the teen's caregiver. The teen girl claims Miller forced her into sexual intercourse in the back of a car and when she resisted "told her it was ok."

The report continues to state that Miller visited the home the teen victim was staying in the night before this assault was reported, and "knocked down a bedroom door trying to get [her] out." He left when the victim says she called police.

Miller was booked into J. Reuben Long Detention Center Tuesday for criminal sexual conduct. His bond was set at $35,000.
