Deputies looking for 3 suspects in Georgetown Co. home invasion

HEMINGWAY, SC (WMBF) – The Georgetown County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in identifying three suspects wanted in connection with a home invasion that occurred in Hemingway early Sunday morning.

At about 4:30 a.m. Sunday, deputies responded to a report of a home invasion at a home in the 22200 block of Choppee Road in the Hemingway Community of Georgetown County, officials stated in a news release.

Three suspects entered the home with what appeared to be a handgun, officials stated, and demanded money from two victims. The suspects bound the victims and ransacked the house.

One victim was able to escape out a bedroom window and called 911 from a neighbor's house, the release stated. The suspects left the home and fled in an unknown direction. One victim with injuries was transported to a nearby hospital.
