Scotland Co. Schools cancel Saturday activities

    The forecast for the end of the work week is dipping into some pretty cold temperatures, and the City of Marion is ready to help you deal with the cold.

ROBESON COUNTY, NC (WMBF) - After dismissing early on Friday, Scotland County Schools has canceled their Saturday activities.

The SAT scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 26 at Scotland High School has been canceled due to inclement weather.

According to the message on their school sign, SAT has also been canceled at Lumberton High School Saturday.

On Friday, both Robeson and Scotland County schools dismissed early due to the threat of inclement weather.

According to the Scotland County School District's website, these are the early dismissal times:

-Elementary schools will dismiss at 11:00 a.m. 
-Scotland High School will dismiss at 11:20 a.m. 
-Middle Schools will dismiss at 12 noon 
-Scotland Early College will dismiss at 1:00 p.m.

Information posted on the website for the Public Schools of Robeson County says all schools in the district would close at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25 due to the potential for inclement weather.

This means all students and staff will be done for the day at 1 p.m. Buses will be running as usual, just leaving the schools at 1 p.m., rather than at the end of the regular school day.

All afternoon and evening activities, along with after school childcare are canceled.
