Deputies find 'small meth lab' in Hartsville man's van

DARLINGTON COUNTY, SC (WMBF) – Darlington County deputies found "a small meth lab" inside the van of a Hartsville man Sunday after he pulled over to get gas and appeared intoxicated, reports state.

Weston Privette, 31, was arrested and charged with DUI, and possession and manufacture of crystal methamphetamine.

On Sunday night, Privette pulled over at a gas station near the intersection of Lamar Highway and I-20, reports state. When he got out of the van, he was wearing one shoe, and appeared unsteady on his feet. On-lookers called law enforcement, and when deputies arrived, they searched his van to find a small, inactive meth lab.

A small quantity of meth was also found on Privette, the report states.
