COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -
The Dreher High School honors English teacher accused of having a sexual relationship with two of her students has been fired from the school district.
Kinsley Wentzky, 34, was let go from her position Tuesday night as the Richland School District One board voted to void her contract.
The board's decision came on the heels of a January 9 State Department of Education action which suspended Wentzky's teaching certificate, according to a spokesperson with the district.
Wentzky had been arrested twice and hit with sexual battery charges by the Columbia Police Department and the Forest Acres Police Department at the beginning of January.
CPD initiated the investigation as a result of gaining victim information in partnership with Forest Acres.
Investigators say Wentzky engaged in two relationships with two 17-year-old students at a Columbia home and a Forest Acres home.
Wentzky taught at Dreher High for seven years. She was on paid administrative leave with the school district before she was let go.
Columbia Police Chief Ruben Santiago requests that if anyone has additional information regarding the case or believes to be a victim to call the Columbia Police Department at (803) 545-3500.
