COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WMBF) While you were sleeping, WMBF News has been tracking the wet winter weather that has moved into our area.

WMBF News Reporter Alex Holley and Photographer Ian Dorety have been out throughout the overnight hours tracking the rain and damage.

Overall, we faired pretty well. However, hundreds of people were without power along the Border Belt in Laurinburg and Pembroke. As of this morning, electric company officials are reporting that almost everyone's power has been restored.

The worst damage we have confirmed this morning is in Chadbourn, North Carolina. Just to give you some perspective that's 14 miles Northwest of Tabor City and 27 miles East of Lumberton.  The National Weather Service shows there are reports of at least 10 mobile homes damaged. Some of those porches were blown away, trees are down and power lines are also down. The good news, no injuries are reported. The National Weather Service will be out surveying the damage this morning.

Alex Holley will be live throughout WMBF News Today from 5-7 a.m. She'll give us an update on the damage and what you can expect as you head out on this very cold morning.
