MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) Two men are in custody after an altercation that took place at the Blossom Inn Wednesday evening.

Police responded to the incident involving three males at the corner of Chester and 5th Avenue North. Two of the men involved have lacerations as a result of the incident, according to Myrtle Beach Police, and were taken to a hospital for treatment.

One of those men was taken to the hospital in handcuffs.

Myrtle Beach Police believe one of the victims instigated the argument, which the incident report states "took place because [he] was being too loud and did not belong on the property."

The other victim then joined the altercation because he believed his friend had been "done wrong."

Just a few hours later, 53-year-old Steven Wayne Jackson and 37-year-old Dale Franklin McEachern were taken into custody and charged with assault and battery.

McEachern was also charged with possession of less than one gram of meth or cocaine.

Some residents say they are not surprised this happened in that neighborhood. There was a deadly stabbing in that area in November of last year.
