MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Horry County Police have a suspected shooter behind bars while his victim recovers from a gunshot wound to the stomach.
It was just after 1:30 a.m. Wednesday when Horry County Police responded to Old Bryan Road, where reports indicated a man had been shot, said HCPD spokesman Sgt. Robert Kegler.
After finding the victim, they learned their suspect was still on the scene. After a brief struggle with police officers, 19-year-old David Daniel Cordova was arrested and charged with attempted murder, resisting arrest and breach of peace.
The victim was transported to a local hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries. No additional arrests are expected in the case, Sgt. Kegler said.
