NORTH MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Police in North Myrtle Beach are looking for a fraud suspect and hope the public can help them locate their man.

It's been nearly two months since warrants were issued for the arrest of 30-year-old Carl Preston Johnson, Jr.

He is wanted for crimes against a federally chartered or insured financial institution for presenting falsified checks to the Anderson Brothers Bank, receiving $4,500 from the bank in November.

The incident report says the bank contacted him when they realized the checks were fake, but Johnson refused to repay the amount.

Believed to be residing in the Loris area, Johnson is described as a 6-foot tall black man with black hair and brown eyes. Anyone with information about Johnson's location is asked to call 843-280-5511 as soon as possible.
