HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) Horry County Police are searching for a man accused of stealing more than $15,000 worth of merchandise from four local Walmarts.

Detectives with Horry County Police Department's Property Crimes Section are seeking 41-year-old Michael Knarr.

Knarr is suspected of stealing from the Surfside Beach, Garden City, Carolina Forest and North Myrtle Beach Walmarts, according to Sgt. Robert Kegler of the Horry County Police Department.

An investigation by Horry County Police recovered that Knarr is responsible for stealing various electronic items such as Beats headphones, Playstation 3 game systems, video games, fishing reels and several items of clothing.

Knarr is seen wearing disguises such as wigs, fake facial hair and large hats in surveillance photos from the Walmart stores.

There is a warrant out for Knarr's arrest. He faces charges for shoplifting 3rd offence or greater and additional charges are also possible, according to Horry County Police.

Knarr is described as approximately 5'10" and weighing around 170 pounds. He has brown hair and green eyes. Police have traced his most recent address to Columbia, but he is believed to be currently living in Horry County, Sgt. Kegler said.

Horry County Police are trying to identify a possible second suspect who could have served as a driver for Knarr. They are working to identify that potential suspect.

Anyone with information on the location of this wanted person or the identity of the potential second suspect are asked to call Horry County Police at 915-5350. Anonymous tips can also be called in at 915-TIPS.
