Juvenile turns self in for fatal shooting in Conway

CONWAY, SC (WMBF) – A juvenile turned himself in to police Friday for a double-shooting last Monday that left one person dead and another injured, according to police.

Conway Police have charged the juvenile with murder and two counts of attempted murder in connection with the shooting that occurred on the afternoon of Monday, January 7 at the 2000 block of 6th Avenue, in the Sugar Hill community of Conway, officials confirmed in a news release.

One victim received a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the lower extremities, and the other died the following day as a result of a gunshot wound to the head, Conway Police spokesperson Catina Hipp confirmed.

On Friday, a juvenile turned himself in without incident and was transported to the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice in Columbia, Hipp stated.
