FBI: Philadelphia double-murder suspect may be in SC

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – The FBI is looking for a Philadelphia man wanted for double murder charges who is believed to be in South Carolina.

Tyheem Melton, 43, was charged by Philadelphia authorities in April 2012 for the murders of 38-year-old Troy Wimberly and 43-year-old Crystal Shadding, according to a news release from the FBI. Officials believe he is currently in either the Columbia or Hartsville areas.

Authorities allege that Melton entered a bar and shot the two victims to death with a .40-caliber handgun. Investigators believe Wimberly had been targeted in a dispute involving drugs.

Melton is described in the FBI release as a black male, 37 years old, 6'2" tall, and 255 pounds.

Anyone with information about Melton's whereabouts is asked to call the Homicide Unit at 215-686-3334, 3335 or 3336 or to dial 911.
