Duo charged after 2 month drug investigation

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - Two people are facing charges after a two month drug investigation in Myrtle Beach.

That investigation by Narcotics and Vice detectives for Horry County Police was looking into the sell of illegal drugs in the Myrtle Beach area.

After identifying a suspect, detectives served a search warrant at the Aquarius Motel on Monday, Jan. 7, taking two people into custody and recovering a handgun and 12 grams of marijuana.

Police arrested 23-year-old Amber Lynn Hohn and charged her with simple possession of marijuana. The other suspect, 27-year-old Blake Rasheed Wilkes of Pawleys Island, was also wanted in connection to a shooting in Horry County on Dec. 29.

He was arrested and charged with resisting arrest, giving false information to law enforcement, discharging firearms into a dwelling, simple possession of marijuana, possession with intent to distribute.
