Stabbing in Longs lands 2 in jail

LONGS, SC (WMBF) - A man is recovering in the hospital while two others are facing charges in connection to his stabbing.

Officers with the Horry County Police Department responded to the 9100 block of Highway 90 Monday night around 7:45 p.m.

What they found was a male victim with a stab wound in his chest. he was transported to hospital where he is listed in stable condition.

During the investigation, Violent Crimes detectives discovered the victim was stabbed during a drug deal gone wrong.

One of the suspects was located by members of the North Precinct's Community Outreach Team. The other suspect was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon.

J. Reuben Long Detention Center records show 18-year-old Trey Cox and 20-year-old Tevin Gause have been charged with attempted murder.
