Copper stolen from Nucor Steel

DARLINGTON COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - An industrial spool of copper wire estimated at $65,000 has been stolen from Nucor Steel.

According to Andy Locklair with the Darlington County Sheriff's Office, the theft happened between 1:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m. Sunday.

Sheriff's Deputies say the copper is on a giant spool and is hard to miss. The copper is reddish in color and has a purple coating. 

Police say they believe they have four male suspects after reviewing surveillance video.
