LORIS, SC (WMBF) - SC Attorney General Alan Wilson, announced Tuesday the arrest of Freddie G. Grainger Jr. on nine charges involving the distribution of child pornography.

37-year-old Grainger is from Loris, SC.

The Horry County Sheriff's Office made the arrest on Dec. 14 after serving Grainger with a warrant to search his home.

Horry County Sheriff's office said they seized multiple computers, cell phones and other electronic equipment.

Grainger also admitted to having possession of "many" child pornography videos, according to Wilson.

In an undercover investigation initiated by the Berkeley County Sheriff's Office, an officer downloaded multiple child pornography videos via peer-to-peer file sharing from an IP address at a residence in Horry Co, which led to the search by Horry Co. Sheriff's office.

Grainger was arrested and has been charged with nine counts of Sexual Exploitation of a Minor in the third degree.

If convicted, Grainger could face up to 10 years imprisonment on each count.

The investigation is ongoing, and additional charges may be filed.

Attorney General Wilson stressed all defendants are presumed innocent unless and until they are proven guilty in a court of law.
