(RNN) - A billboard that a San Diego millionaire posted seeking a Latina girlfriend has been taken down.
Marc Paskin, a real estate mogul who starred in ABC's "Secret Millionaire" and is believed to have a net worth of more than $200 million, put up a billboard Dec. 6 with a picture of himself that says, "All I want for Christmas is a Latina girlfriend."
Vandals damaged the billboard on Dec. 7, removing the email address to contact Paskin, which was appropriately titled: ChristmasLatinas@AOL.com.
No explanation has been given for the billboard's removal.
The unusual method of soul mate searching had mixed reactions among San Diegans.
According to ABC10 News, Juan Figueroa, who works at an electric company near the sign, found it offensive.
"Generous of him, but still, that's not right," said Figueroa.
But Dan Alioa, who also works near the sign, said he hoped Paskin gets his wish.
"Everybody has their own beliefs and everybody wants what they want," Villa said. "They should get what they want for Christmas at least one time of year."
Ladies had mixed reactions, too.
The magazine Cosmopolitan for Latinas tweeted that Paskin's ad was "The creepiest (and kind of hilarious) billboard about Latinas."
Although some women might be turned off by a man searching for love with a billboard, they might be turned on by his generosity.
On "Secret Millionaire," Paskin would pose as a volunteer at various charities and, at the end of the week, give out $125,000 to people he met.
In one episode, he gave $40,000 to a foundation that provides free transportation and financial assistance to people who are uninsured or underinsured, according to Hispanically Speaking News.
Paskin also has a sad story: his wife of 28 years died of diabetes in 2002.
After she passed away, Paskin donated more than $1 million to medical centers at the University of California, San Diego, which helped his wife during her struggle with diabetes.
Of course, common interests are always an important factor when it comes to compatibility.
And in an interview with the San Diego Union-Tribune, Paskin said one of his favorite hobbies is to dress up as Elvis and sing karaoke.
This might be him here.
