Man turns himself in after slapping patient

DARLINGTON COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - A man has turned himself in to the Darlington County Detention Center for slapping an elderly patient in the face.

According to Darlington Chief of Police D. L. Watson, Gregory Dargan Jr. has been arrested for neglect of a vulnerable adult.

Dargan is a 21-year-old certified nurse assistant from Lamar.

He was working at a local nursing home in Darlington City when the incident occurred on Friday, Dec. 7.

Dargan turned himself in without incident on Tuesday, Dec. 11 and was taken to the Darlington County Detention Center.

This incident is still under investigation. WMBF News will update you with more information as it becomes available.
