HCPD busts meth lab in barn

HORRY COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - A meth lab discovered in the Conway area of Horry County has landed four people in jail.

Horry County Police officers responded to a reported burglary on Carroll Todd Road on Dec. 5. The man who owned the said there where people in his bulk barn.

When officers located the suspect, they found them "preparing products used in the cooking of crystal methamphetamine."

Narcotics detectives took all four people into custody and charged them with trespassing.

In addition, Lauren Ashley James, 26, of Conway, 29-year-old Trevor Casey Giebell of Landrun and 44-year-old Norman Harold Chestnut were charged with manufacturing methamphetamine.

The fourth suspect, 33-year-old Stacey Elaine Grainger of Conway, is charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.

Trevor Giebell is also charged with unlawful possession of prescription drugs.
