Police investigating deadly shooting in Sumter - WMBFNews.com, Myrtle Beach/Florence SC, Weather

SUMTER, SC (WIS) - Sumter Police are investigating a deadly shooting early Sunday morning after a gunshot victim ;was found by a street.

Police say officers found 33-year-old Mario Carrbarus Scott of Sumter at about 12:30 a.m. at the intersection of Dingle and Wright Streets. Officers responded to the area for a report of shots fired.

Investigators say Scott had been shot in the chest and back and died at the scene.
