AURORA, CO (KDVR/CNN) - The Colorado movie theater where a gunman opened fire inside the latest "Batman" movie in July, will reopen early next year.
The city's mayor's office says the Cineplex will open to the public on Jan. 18.
Before that reopening, family members of shooting victims will be allowed inside.
The movie theater plans to run free movies to the public for the first couple days.
Twelve people were killed and 58 were injured when James Holmes allegedly opened fire on the crowd.
The theater has been undergoing a remodel for the past two months.
