Brunswick County's Operation Christmas Crackdown

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WMBF) Fewer drug dealers and users are on the streets of Brunswick County after a law enforcement effort targeting street level drug dealers.

The Brunswick County Sheriff's Office conducted Operation Christmas Crackdown on Wednesday, arresting 29 subjects.

Among the charges filed in connection to the operation are trafficking, possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver, conspiracy, simple possession of marijuana and resisting a public officer.

This operation began in September 2012 and officers anticipate more of these operations in the future, according to the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office web site.
