DARLINGTON COUNTY, SC (WMBF) - All lanes of Interstate 20 near the Darlington County, Lee County line have reopened after an overturned 18 wheeler blocked traffic for most of the day.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol reports that non-injury crash occurred in the westbound lanes of Interstate 20 near mile marker 127 at 9 a.m.

Darlington County Sheriff Wayne Byrd tweeted a photo from the accident scene showing an overturned traffic trailer blocking at least one lane of traffic.

Sheriff Byrd says the crash is very near the Lee County line.

Sonny Collins with the South Carolina Highway Patrol says traffic is being rerouted around the accident using the emergency lane while they cleanup.

The truck, Collins adds, was hauling batteries. The road was completely reopened shortly after 4 p.m., over seven hours after the crash occurred.

It's still unclear what caused this accident, but all authorities report that no one was hurt.
