Sex offender neglected to register in South Carolina

LORIS, SC (WMBF) – A Loris man entered a guilty plea in Florence for failure to register as a sex offender after moving from the state where he was charged.

Larry Devon Greene, age 29, was convicted in Tennessee for aggravated statutory rape in 2010.

Greene was released from prison in 2011 and registered as a sex offender in Tennessee.

A couple weeks later he left Tennessee without notification and never registered as a sex offender in South Carolina.

Greene will wait be sentenced for neglecting to register as a sex offender.

The US States Attorney's Office says he could face a maximum fine of $250,000 and/or 10 years in prison.
