CONWAY, SC (WMBF) – Conway Police are still looking for a second suspect after charging one Conway man with the armed robbery of a taxi driver.

Police spokeswoman Catina Hipp says that armed robbery occurred shortly before 8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 5 at an apartment on Oak Street.

The victim told police two black males robbed him at gunpoint when he arrived at that apartment to pick up a fare. The two men then made the victim drive them to a gas station to buy groceries. After returning to the apartment, the cab driver was told to wait outside for his payment.

That's when one of the men approached the cab from the passenger's side with a black in color pistol and said, "give me all your money."

Tony Sylvester Green, 19, has been charged with armed robbery and kidnapping. The second subject in this incident has not been identified.

Anyone with any information concerning this incident and/or the identity of the other subject is asked to contact the Conway Police Department.
